Grain growers are being invited to the 2023 GRDC Harvester Workshop in the Gunnedah region, where industry experts and harvest specialists will help local growers prepare for harvest.

From managing harvest losses to harvest storage, harvester fire prevention and weed seed control options, the course will set growers up for any season.

Head of AMPS research, Matt Gardner, will facilitate the Gunnedah day and include conversations with various harvest specialists and representatives from WeedSmart and the Kondinin Group. The day will investigate harvester efficiencies, managing harvest operations, productivity, and economics.

“There will be a wonderful line-up of international and industry specialists to lead the discussion on the practicalities of improving your harvest operations,” Matt said.

“Regardless of experience, everyone will take something away from this very hands-on day.

The Gunnedah workshop will be held on Tuesday, September 5 from 8:30am to 2:30pm. The event will be hosted by Hugh Simson at ‘Red Bobs’ on Wandobah Road.
