Josh Spinks held the flag high for Swimming Gunnedah with two top 10 positions and improved times at the NSW short-course swimming championship over the weekend.
The rising young star was swimming up and age group after turning 11 but was still very competitive, winning a finalist ribbon in the 11 years 200m freestyle after slashing 3.03 seconds from his entry time.
The youngster claimed another finalist ribbon in the 200m individual medley and registered a personal best time in the 50m breaststroke against tough competition.
Josh qualified for 10 events at the state titles, which is no mean feat considering the qualifying times required.
