This week’s NSW Budget has allocated $2.5 million for the establishment of an early childhood education centre at Gunnedah TAFE.
The government is yet to release exact details about the project, however, a TAFE NSW spokeswoman told the Gunnedah Times that work is expected to start next year.
“The investment in the TAFE NSW Gunnedah Early Childhood education space will expand the delivery of in demand skills and training to the local community,” the spokesperson said.
“The upgraded education facilities will include internal and external play areas, child amenities, and learning spaces with digital access to connect local students with virtual classrooms across the state.
“Early design and planning work for the project is underway and work is expected to commence on site in April 2024.”
One of the last major upgrades at Gunnedah TAFE was a $3 million investment in 2019 for specialist trade workshops, and information and communications technology.
