Gunnedah Times’ winning tipsters Justin Carter and Stephen Woodward were in prime position to watch the Penrith Panthers charge home in Sunday’s NRL Grand Final.
As winners of this year’s Gunnedah Times Business House Challenge and Readers’ Competition, Justin and Stephen each won two tickets to the NRL Grand Final. They also won return flights and a two-night stay at the luxurious, five star Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Sydney.
Stephen said the game was electrifying as Panthers rebounded from almost 20 points down to win in the final minutes of the match at Accor Stadium. He also commended the team at Radisson Blu and encouraged others staying in the area to consider the hotel for their next stay.
“It was brilliant,” Stephen said. “I would highly recommend it.”
Word has it, Stephen is considering another crack at the competition next year, fresh in the hope his beloved Sydney Roosters can make a run for the finals in 2024.
Justin, of winning business Carter’s Pharmacy, enjoyed the experience, however, would have preferred the Broncos to walk away as victors.
