A large crowd was on hand to support Boggabri Joey’s Playgroup at the Hassab’s annual in-house fashion parade.
Megan Guest thanked John and Wadette Shaw and told the crowd that the group were very appreciative of being offered the opportunity to raise some funds for their playgroup.
“Our playgroup operates on a Monday fortnightly and caters for children aged between zero and five years,” she told the attendees.
“Thanks to fundraising events such as tonight, we can offer free activities such as art and craft and the opportunity for the children to play in the newly painted cubby house,” she said.
Play group is not only for the children, but also a support network for mums and carers.
Boggabri Joeys Playgroup are looking forward to spreading the joy of Christmas to residents in our local area nursing homes.
As a craft activity, they will be creating a drawing, painting or flat craft.
The child’s name age and three facts about them will be made into a personalised letter, put into an envelope and distributed to a resident in a nursing home.
