I wanted to share our wonderful experience on International Day of People with Disabilities.

It was not just a day to acknowledge the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Still, more importantly, it was a celebration of the incredible abilities and contributions they bring to our community.

Our participants, the heartbeat of Gunnedah Workshop Enterprises, were at the centre of the festivities. We took the opportunity to express our gratitude to them for their tremendous impact, not just within our organisation but in enriching the wider community.

Club Gunnedah played an integral role in making this day truly special.

They generously hosted us for a delightful lunch, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inclusivity.

The venue buzzed with games, laughter, and a camaraderie spirit that genuinely embodied this important day’s essence.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who made this day memorable. Club Gunnedah’s generosity, our participants’ dedication, and the community’s support created an environment where everyone felt valued and appreciated.

Moreover, the great giveaways added a layer of joy to the day. These small gestures create lasting memories and reinforce the community that makes Gunnedah truly special.

We are grateful for the support from the Gunnedah Times and all the sponsors for the great day.

The International Day of People with Disability (December 3), promotes community awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability, who play a valuable role in society.
