Gunnedah’s MA Connolly Cup campaign suffered a demoralising blow against a committed Narrabri outfit last Sunday.
Needing a win to stay alive in the competition, Gunnedah were comprehensively smashed against competition leaders Narrabri, who have all but booked their place in the grand final.
After a paltry batting effort, Gunnedah were restricted to just 50 in an innings that lasted barely 20 overs and was an early sign that their tilt at a place in the final is now all but gone.
As expected, Narrabri chased down the target in quick time time (15 overs) and one wicket down, with Rhyce Kliendienst taking Gunnedah’s solitary wicket.
