It was a big weekend for Boggabri Pony Club as they held their no frills sporting afternoon on Saturday and Blanch Trophy Day on Sunday across what was a fun two days.

After a cool, crisp Sunday morning, the club’s Blanch Trophy was held in perfect Autumn conditions.

Fifty-five riders from the Boggabri, Wee Waa, Narrabri, Coonabarabran, Gunnedah, Tamworth, Kootingal, Barraba, Manilla and Walgett clubs came together to compete for points towards the Blanch Trophy.

The top point-scorers were awarded their ribbons at the end of the day, much to the delight of the riders and their parents, carers and friends.

Tamworth Pony Club won the day, Boggabri Pony Club placed second and Gunnedah Pony Club finished third.

A list of highest point-score winners in each age group is as follows:

Under-7 girl – Laura Dickinson (Wee Waa) with 40.5 points.

Under-7 boy – Ben Martin (Tamworth) with 44.5 points.

7-under-9 girl – Ruby Daley (Walgett) with 42.5 points.

7-under-9 boy – Nicholas Hodges (Tamworth) with 41.5 points.

9-under-11 girl – Olivia Daley (Walgett) with 35.5 points.

9-under-11 boy – Max Collett (Tamworth) with 41.5 points.

11-under-13 girl – Stella Walsh (Kootingal) with 39.5 points.

11-under-13 boy – Declan Watkins (Barraba) with 38.5 points.

13-under-15 girl – Alena Duncan (Manilla) with 35.5 points.

13-under-15 boy – James King (Boggabri) with 33.5 points.

15-under-17 girl – Zara Kesby (Tamworth) with 39.5 points.

Associate – Zali Duncan (Manilla) with 47.5 points.
