Gunnedah Motoring Enthusiasts are for the second time preparing to host the prestigious NSW State Hillclimb Championships (Round 8), planned for September 14-15.
Locals are invited to get on the Gunnedah Motoring Enthusiasts club bandwagon, with help to setup and conduct the state significant hillclimb event, or as a competitor participant.
In early September – the week before the Hillclimb – an observation rally will be run for everyday motorists ‘daily driver’ vehicles, or special vehicles which people may wish to ‘give a run’.
The rally will be held on Sunday, September 8, on local bitumen roads. Participants should assemble at the Railway Hotel from 10am for coffee and course notes about the route to Coonabarabran Siding Springs Observatory. Drivers will stop for lunch at Siding Springs about 1.15pm, where a guided AAT telescope observatory tour will occur from 2pm.
