Trivia maestro Anne McMahon rattled the brain cells of Gunnedah Evening VIEW Club members at the annual quiz night last week.

Appropriately named, The Super 7, took line honours with the team of Glen Jones, Elisabeth Heath, Aldyth Hailes, Judy Sills, Laurel Hall, Fran Dunn and Kerry Keating revelling in the six rounds, with 10 questions in each. The team was presented with the coveted Sue Ebbage Memorial Trophy.

The Liquorice Allsorts Lucy Loveridge, Colleen Loveridge, Liz Ironmonger, Deirdre Andren, Sue Braby, Raelee Bruce and Linda Lee proudly accepted their wooden spoon for a valiant effort in a night of close scores.

Each round had a theme with Seasons and Seasons testing the brain matter, while round 2 was title Gee Whizz, where every answer had to start with G. In the third round the subject was Colours which may sound easy but not with quiz master Anne at the helm.

The weather was also topical in the fourth round, followed by What In The World? in round 5 and then Joy and Happiness. A picture puzzle sheet and cryptic fairy tales kept members busy between rounds.

Everyone agreed that it was a challenging night but with much laughter and chatter and very loud whispers emerging from the tables it proved enjoyable for everyone who took part.
