RUGBY UNION:
The Gunnedah Red Devils’ women’s side was defeated 12-24 by Narrabri in last weekend’s Central North Rugby Grand Final played at Dangar Park, Narrabri.
The loss followed Gunnedah’s 24-10 win over the same team in the major semi-final, earning the Devils direct entry to the decider.
The Gunnedah club congratulated Narrabri on consecutive premierships – its second grand final victory in two years after Narrabri defeated Gunnedah 26-12 in the 2023 women’s grand final.
Meanwhile, Gunnedah’s junior under-14 team won its grand final 32-15 against Tamworth Pirates last weekend.
