Three local youngsters competed in the Coffs Spring Sprint swimming carnival at the Coffs Harbour War Memorial Swimming Pool on Saturday, October 19.

Seven-year-old Gunnedah swimmer Reggie Stewart raced in 50m events for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.

Reggie also raced in the 25m butterfly, placing second with a six-second personal best (PB) time.

Fourteen-year-old Gunnedah swimmer Sophie Rindfleish placed third in breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle, having recorded a PB time of 42.30 in the 50m breaststroke.

Following a short break from the pool, 12-year-old Josh Spinks showed resilience as he won five races and placed second in his other three.
