A bunch of Gunnedah work colleagues are swimming and selling (cakes!) to help raise money for breast cancer research.

Pharmacy staff (pictured right) from Gunnedah are swimming 18km this month for initiative which supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Nine people in Australia die from breast cancer every single day,” the group’s fundraising page reads.

“Swim For Breast Cancer for the mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and loves ones who are impacted by this devastating disease.”

The Gunnedah group is aiming to reach $3000 in total funds by the month’s end.

On Wednesday, cookies, slices, muffins and more were selling like, well, hot cakes! The charity stall even received a donation of fresh eggs.

Back on the swimming front, Lisa has apparently already completed the set distance but remaining swimmers have just a few kilometres remaining as of Wednesday morning.
