The Gunnedah Gymnastics Centre presented its annual ‘Bodies in Motion’ performances last week, with 560 students and teachers attending the school’s matinee on Thursday before a near capacity crowd filled the venue two nights later.

The program covered items such as poi swinging, skipping, tumbling, double mini-tramp and rhythmic activities, while the audience had the opportunity to see some NSW and country champions in action on the apparatus.

Following the success of the local gymnasts at the Country Capital Cup competition in Tamworth earlier in the year, members of the Gunnedah Woodturners’ Club generously offered to enlarge and frame a commemorative photo of the team.

This was presented to the Centre last Saturday morning, and has since been hung in the foyer of the Lyle & Griffiths Centre with other memorabilia.

The Gunnedah Woodturners’ Club included one founding member, Neville Barnier, from when the club began back in 1985.

Huge thanks go to the ‘Woodies’!
