The Australian National Multiclass Gliding Championship was staged at Lake Keepit Soaring Club from early last week until this week.
The competition was scheduled to take place from November 25 to Wednesday of this week, but a number of days were lost due to wet weather.
A combination of regulars and first-timers took part, as numerous competitors came from Queensland and Perth while one came from the United Kingdom.
Each day a task was set with the course distance average of 450km.
The annual event changes location each year, as it is shared among various gliding clubs around Australia.
Check out next week’s Gunnedah Times for more details about how the championship unfolded.
