Spotlight: Christmas Closure

The Gunnedah Shire Library will be closing at 12 midday on Friday, December 20 for the Christmas break and reopening on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 9:30am. Make sure you stock your library bag!

As a special gift for our borrowers, we’ve increased the borrowing limit on hoopla to 20 items. This means that you can escape the heat with audiobooks, eBooks, music, and TV all summer long!

Spotlight: Audiobooks

As country kids, we all know summer holidays = road trips to the coast. When you’re sick of the radio, switch to an audiobook!

In our adult selection, we have Australian stories, biographies, historical fiction, mysteries, romance, fantasy/sci-fi and westerns. For the children, we have authors like John Flanagan, J. K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, Sally Rippin and many more to distract them from fighting in the backseat.
