Gunnedah MCC members Jack Levett, Isaac Cross, Nate Jaeger and Lachlan Adamson also competed at the event – formerly named the Casey Stoner Cup – at Kurri Kurri Junior Motorcycle Club.
The six Gunnedah MCC members were among competitors from an array of places including North Queensland and Canberra, as well as various parts of NSW including Albury.
Categories for the riders were 65cc 9 to 13 years, 85cc Modified 7 to 12 years, 85cc-150cc 9 to 13 years, 250cc 13 to 16 years, and the Pro 450 class.
Hugo finished on top of the podium in the Modified class and was the third placegetter in 85cc, while Jake Straney was third in the Modified class.
The next best achiever for Gunnedah MCC was Nate with fourth place in the 250cc.
A spokesperson for Gunnedah MCC said all six of the club’s participants did extremely well as they made it to the finals.
“It was a hot, humid weekend, however the hosts did a fantastic job with the track preparation throughout the weekend,” the spokesperson said.
