At Gunnedah High, teachers award tokens to students who demonstrate positive behaviour that reflects its core school values and adhere to their school rules.
The core values are:
Respect (e.g. following instructions, speaking respectfully). Responsibility (e.g. staying on task, being on time). Do Your Best (e.g. avoiding distractions, trying their best).
Once a student collects five tokens, they receive a Golden Token. At the end of each term, all students who have earned a Golden Token are entered into the major prize draw. Students can earn multiple Golden Tokens.
At this a recent assembly, one student from each year group was
randomly selected from the Golden Token entries—and each received an iPad!
The Term 1 winners are:
Year 7: Riley Hack
Year 8: Elise Gan
Year 9: Isaac Brown
Year 10: Eve Greatrix
Year 11: Emmy Torrens
Year 12: Rheggie Jaeger.
