The Gunnedah South Public School quartet of Lachlan Finnerty, Adalie Muddle, Phoebe Neilsen and Harry Tudgey represented North West at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) tennis championships in Bathurst from May 6 to 9.
North West was in Pool A along with tough opponents from CIS, North Coast, Sydney East, Sydney West and Riverina, with North West later encountering South Coast and Sydney South West during the play-offs.
Lachlan achieved three singles wins while Adalie and Harry had two each, and they also achieved a win each in the doubles.
The Gunnedah contingent played some fantastic tennis and showed great sportsmanship while among the top 65 boys and top 65 girls across the state.
Lachlan, Adalie and Phoebe were at the younger end of the scale as they have one or two years remaining at PSSA level, while many other competitors at Bathurst were in their final year of primary school.
