Local author releases State of Origin book, fourth volume

Gunnedah Times sports reporter Liam Hauser’s new State of Origin book has hit the shelves, shortly before the start of this year’s series.

With the book titled State of Origin 45 years, Liam is scheduled to give a talk at the Gunnedah-based Next Edition Café & Book Store at 6pm next Thursday (May 22).

Liam will discuss how he started working on his project, how State of Origin has evolved, and why Origin football continues to enthrall.

Liam’s new release is the fourth volume of the book which was originally titled State of Origin 30 years, before being updated every five years.

Liam’s other books include The Immortals of State of Origin, while his other publications have featured Test cricket and rugby league grand final history. The Gunnedah Times sports reporter will include a personalised message and signature for anyone who purchases a copy of his new publication.
