Fundraising is continuing for the ‘Biggest Morning Tea’ at Carter’s Pharmacy in Gunnedah.
The local business stages an event each year for the host charity – Cancer Council, which aims to “make big difference for those impacted by cancer”.
The Carter’s team said customers and staff have been generous in their support, raising between $250 and $500 each year through the event.
Cakes, slices and sweet treats for the morning tea were all baked and supplied by pharmacy staff.
This year’s fundraising campaign has been assisted by the addition of a QR code donation option.
Statistics tell of the far-reaching impact of the disease in local communities with almost 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.
