A man was airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse near Gunnedah.

About 12pm on Sunday, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a person injured in a fall from a horse on a property west of Gunnedah.

A rescue helicopter spokesperson said a man aged in his 30s was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for head injuries before being transported to Tamworth Hospital.
