Gunnedah gymnasts won every division they competed in while achieving a bag of medals at the Tamworth Winter Carnival on Saturday May 24.
It was the first competition for the Gunnedah gymnasts for the 2025 season.
About 130 female artistic gymnasts from Gunnedah, Tamworth, Narrabri, Inverell, Dubbo and Hunter Valley competed in the carnival at the Tamworth Gymnastics Club while there were seven levels, with Gunnedah in each level from three to seven.
The Gunnedah girls in Level 3 and Level 4 earned a gold medal banding, with Elodie Warren, Ashley Ross and newcomer Evie Formann taking first to third placings respectively while Mia Griffiths, sister Lily, and Elsie Sanderson took the top three placings in Level 4.
In Junior Level 5, Kate Randall took the gold medal position with three other golds on apparatus.
Lilah Edmunds filled the silver medal position, claiming the fourth apparatus gold medal while teammate Hadley Durrant filled fourth position all-around.
Ava Willoughby put in a strong performance to secure gold in Senior Level 5, with Mia Geddes backing up to claim the silver.
In her first Level 6 competition, Ruby Cygan showed four confident routines to win the gold overall.
Mikayla Ferguson and Kelly Briggs won gold and bronze respectively in Level 7, with Mikayla also securing gold on Floor, and Kelly achieving gold on Vault.
Gunnedah Gymnastics Centre acknowledged Whitehaven Coal for its contribution.
