Gunnedah Coles had its own Big Freeze to raise money for Fight MND with store manager Jesse Stieger and Renee Stevens braving the cold last week.
Coles Gunnedah raised more than $5000 for the charity this year between sales of beanies and donations at the checkout. It helped make up the $8 million the Coles Group raised for Big Freeze 11.
The cold dunkings signified the end of the six week campaign.
“The Gunnedah community has helped raise more than $10,000 for Fight MND since 2018,” Jessie said.
“It’s a campaign the Gunnedah community really gets behind every year – for which we are really grateful.
“Our store team members love supporting the Fight MND campaign each year. It is something we take a lot of pride in.
“We really hope that one day, there will be a cure and we’ll be supporting the Big Freeze campaign until that day comes.”
