On Tuesday, July 29, students from the Gunnedah High School Clontarf Academy joined executives from Whitehaven Coal for an immersive cultural experience at the Pilliga Caves and Sculptures.
The Immersion Day provided an opportunity for students to engage with the landscape, local history, and Indigenous culture. Throughout the day, the students demonstrated genuine curiosity and enthusiasm, asking questions and absorbing knowledge from the experience.
Staff said the day was a valuable chance for the boys to deepen their understanding of Country and culture, while also developing connections with industry representatives.
The school extended its thanks to Whitehaven for supporting the event and helping to broaden the horizons of its young men.
