Four girls and two boys from Gunnedah mixed it with the best in NSW, as they competed in the U10 state teams event at the Newcastle and District Tennis Association on the weekend of October 25 and 26.
Charli Scott led the way for the girls team, winning four of six singles matches as the number four seed.
Adalie Muddle, Millie Lyle and Belle Nichols recorded one or two singles wins each, while the team secured crucial doubles wins in almost every tie.
As the number one seed in the boys division, Lachlan Finnerty won three of his six singles matches and went down in some very tight contests, including an 11-9 tiebreaker.
Louis Rouse recorded his first singles win during the team’s play-off for 11th and 12th, while he and Lachlan also recorded a doubles win in that same tie.
