Six Gunnedah swimmers enjoyed a day of great racing at the Macquarie Yabbies carnival in Narromine last Sunday.

Members of the Sills and Thompson families swam a total of 52 events, and clocked eight personal best (PB) times.

While the main club squad battled early rain in Tamworth, Narromine put on a perfect day of sunshine with some hotly contested prizemoney up for grabs.

The Gunnedah team came home with 21 gold, five silver and two bronze medals.

Cameron Sills almost bagged a clean sweep of gold, snatching 12 gold and one silver from 13 races. His brother Aiden (9) won silver in the 100m breaststroke, while club mate Ayden Thompson (9) bagged bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Nayte Thompson (10) finished in the top 10 in all his races, while his older brother Riley (14) took home four gold, two silver and a bronze.

Younger sister Tayla (12) snatched five gold, two silver and two bronze.

Riley, Tayla and Cameron also hit the pool for some fast and furious racing, as they competed in the 10 and Over relay.
