THE holiday fun continues this week, with crafty holiday sessions at both Curlewis and Gunnedah.
Monday 13 July we are making fabulous winter crafts, starting at 2pm at Curlewis Hall. Bookings are essential and the cost is $3 per participant.
We have sessions at Gunnedah Library on Tuesday 14 (sock puppets), Wednesday 15 (winter scenes) and Thursday 16 (polar bears) at 3.30pm for children aged 7 years and over, at a cost of $3 per participant. Or come along at 10.30am for Singalong & Storytime or Book Buddies, which is free and aimed at children under 7 years.

JOIN YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY
New South Wales Public Libraries want you… to join up!
If you think the library is just a place to borrow books, think again! There is so much more you can do at the library.
Look around and you will see children enjoying a story or doing crafts, and adults studying, playing computer games, handling life admin, or browsing the magazines while waiting for an appointment. We love seeing people come in and spend quality time in the library.
Come in to 291 Conadilly Street, see the programs and services we provide and explore your local public library!
NEW BOOKS
Ellen Savage and the Heroes of AHS Centaur (994 KIE) by Grantlee Kieza. The torpedoing of hospital ship Centaur, lit brightly and marked with red crosses, in May 1943 stands as one of Australia’s most devastating wartime tragedies. The ship sank in three minutes, taking 268 lives with it and creating a legacy of courage and heroism.
Love is in the air with Sunrise at Sunny Cross Farm (AFA LIN) by Maya Linnell. Widowed Spencer Hawkins never expected to find himself on reality TV. Clem Crossley has her hands full with her farm, family and catering for the TV crew. As gossip and misleading edits threaten the bond they are building, can they confront their pasts and learn to trust one another?
Roy Grace returns in The Hawk is Dead (AFT JAM) by Peter James. The Royal Train is derailed on route to a charity event in Sussex. An accident or a planned attack? The police think they have their answer minutes later, when a trusted aide is shot by a sniper. But, despite all evidence, Roy Grace is not convinced The Queen was the intended target.
“Books can be dangerous. The best ones should be labelled ‘This could change your life.'” – Helen Exley.
