A teenage boy has died following a crash at Carroll in the early hours of Thursday 3 September.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the Oxley Highway, about 55km east of Gunnedah, at 2.30am.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District attended and found a sedan had left the road.

The driver – a boy believed to be aged in his teenage years – died at the scene.

Police established a crime scene and started an investigation into the cause of the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
