Spotlight: CRAFTY CREATURES

The school holidays are nearly over, with just one session left today at 3.30pm where we will make peacock collages. The charge is $3 and bookings are required, phone (02) 6740 2190. Our Crafty Creations programs have been fully booked each afternoon and it is great to see so many new faces in the library! If you missed out this time, or have caught the crafty bug, our next Make It! session is on 14 October at 3.30pm, and costs $3 per person. We are making Yarn Dolls and it is open to ages 7 years and up. We welcome our new library team leader, Robyn Draper, who steps into the role this month. She will guide the library through a new chapter, following the retirement of Christiane Birkett earlier in the year.

Spotlight: CUSTOMER-DRIVEN COLLECTIONS

Did you know that you can suggest books for the library to purchase? Our members have wide and varying tastes in reading, and we want our collection to reflect this diversity. Just ask one of the staff members for a purchase suggestion form or complete via our online catalogue. If the book is added to our collection, we will put it aside and give you a call.

You can also keep an eye out for new books as they are added to the collection. There is an option on our online catalogue marked New Items List where you can browse and select items you would like to borrow. Sign in using your library card number and date of birth to reserve them and then collect when convenient.
