Gunnedah police arrested a 16-year-old boy for an alleged recent assault.
About 12.10pm on Monday 24 August, officers were called to Little Conadilly Street following reports of an assault.
A 20-year-old man was located with a stab wound.
The man was able to drive himself to Gunnedah Hospital for treatment where he was reported to be in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene on Marquis Street and Oxley Police District detectives started an investigation into the incident.
Officers arrested the 16-year-old boy at Gunnedah Police Station on Wednesday 2 September.
He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, stalk/intimated intend fear physical harm, and custody of knife in public place.
The boy was refused bail and appeared before a children’s court on Thursday 3 September.
