Spotlight: INFORMATION SESSION
If you have ever been responsible for handling the arrangements after a loved one dies, you will understand the stress and endless confusion – and at a time when your brain just doesn’t work. Imagine if you could get all these plans in order ahead of time, allowing your loved ones (or yourself) to mourn, knowing everything will be just as you/they wished.
Our Seniors Talk for October will be courtesy of Lightfoot Funerals, who will speak about the paperwork and arrangements associated with death and funerals. This free information session will be held at the Gunnedah Shire Library at noon on Monday 19 October.
Tea and coffee will be provided, so come along, listen, and ask all your questions.

Spotlight: WHO MAKES THE TOP 100?
It’s time again for the Top 100 Books and the focus for 2026 is Australian books.
Votes were cast during September for Australia’s favourite books about this amazing place, its people and its culture, and the answers will be revealed on 17 and 18 October on ABC Radio National.
Tune in this Saturday and Sunday afternoon and make your own To Be Read list, check the library’s online catalogue for all the titles, and reserve and collect them during the week.
