A man was airlifted to hospital after suffering head and leg injuries in an incident west of Gunnedah this morning.

About 11:30am on Monday, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to an accident at Mary’s Mount.

A rescue helicopter spokesperson said a man aged in his 50s was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for head and multiple leg injuries, before being transported to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
