Gunnedah Gymnastics Centre claimed the top 17 positions in a multi-discipline competition at Armidale City Gymnastics Club last weekend.
Twenty members from Gunnedah Gymnastics Centre took part while the weather and the atmosphere were warm and inviting.
Ruby Cygan claimed gold all-around Level 6, with gold on vault, bars, beam and floor.
Level 5 gymnast Kate Randall led the way with a total of 37.925, claiming gold medals on beam and floor, and the silver on vault and bars.
Close behind was Mia Geddes with 37.500, and picking up the silver on beam and floor, and bronze on vault.
The overall bronze medallist was Ava Willoughby with 37.175, and she also won bronze on beam and floor as well as gold on vault.
With a score of 9.800, Ava’s vault was the highest apparatus score of the day.
Lilah Edmunds edged her way to take the gold medal on bars, while Hadley Durrant took the bronze on this apparatus.
Level 4 was a banded competition, with Eloise Launders heading the gold medal division with 36.800.
Other gold medallists were Elsie Sanderson, Mia Griffith, Lexie Martin, Lily Griffith and Maleaka Sharpley.
Silver banded medallists were Savannah Campbell and Mimi Sheridan.
In Level 3 – also a banded competition – Ashley Ross produced a 36.3 to claim gold, while Stella Geddes and Maddi Hill also won gold.
Ava Reid secured a silver banding, while Sophia Baker and Evie Formann received a bronze banding.
The Gunnedah gymnasts are now gearing up for this Saturday’s Gunnedah Invitational at the Lyle & Griffiths Centre.
Following this event, selection trials will take place involving gymnasts in Levels 5-7 for the state championships in Sydney next month.
