Land located near Boggabri will be transferred from Gunnedah Shire Council to Narrabri Shire Council, following council endorsement at the final meeting in 2025.
The owners requested that the local government boundary be adjusted so that lot two is contained in the Narrabri Shire. The property predominantly falls within Narrabri Shire.
Council resolved to inform Narrabri Shire Council that it has no objection to the transfer of Lot 2 DP 1249799 from Gunnedah Shire Council to Narrabri Shire Council.
As part of the motion, council will not include the standard provisions for the payment of any outstanding rates and charges in the proclamation.
Following the proclamation, a further report will be presented to council to write off the outstanding rates and charges against the assessment. See more council news in next week’s Gunnedah Times.
