After 48 years tending to animals big and small in the region, local veterinarian David Amos has said his last goodbyes to customers and staff at Gunnedah Veterinary Hospital. Luigi and Giovanna (Jan) Capezio were surprised by their family with a 60th anniversary celebration. What was meant to be a lunch in the heart of Sydney to commemorate the milestone turned also into a renewal of their vows at All Hallows Catholic Parish, Five Dock. They also received a plaque from Pope Francis – not long before his passing. This was their second message from the Pope, after also being given one for their 50th anniversary.
