Namoi Diesel Service ends a long history

It was 1968 when Narrabri local Peter Shepherdson first walked through the doors of the newly established business, Namoi Diesel Services in Cooma Road. And Wednesday, July 12 marked the end of a career of hard work ethics and an honest, dedicated trade, supplying fittings and conducting repair work for the community. The building was built in late 1967 by Gunnedah builder Fred Templeman and managed in those early days by the late Keith Jurgs. Garden club welcomes start of spring

Thirty members and guests attended the September meeting for the Gunnedah Garden Club in the lovely garden of Marg Kersely, just out of town. Recently retired librarian Christiane Birkett was welcomed as a new member. The hostess for the day was Sue Walker and Pam Shaw sold tickets for the raffle, which was donated by Robyn Clydsdale. Lyn Sanson discussed the bus trip to Coonabarabran for the Garden Trail, visiting seven gardens, starting with morning tea at the CWA hall.   President Robyn Clydsdale was congratulated as her landscape photograph was selected for the 2027 GCA calendar. Narrabri project central component in NSW Gas Statement

The proposed Narrabri gas project will remain a key part of the NSW government’s strategy to secure domestic gas supplies, with the state’s new gas statement outlining the role of local production in supporting manufacturing and the transition to a lower-emissions energy system.
