Community expects helipad to be available

By Member for Tamworth, Kevin Anderson. Rural communities like Gunnedah deserve and expect to have fair and equitable access to the same services as our city cousins. That includes the Gunnedah Hospital helipad. A hospital helipad is an essential part of rapid emergency medical responses for patients who are critically ill or injured. If someone has a serious injury, that required a transfer, then time is critical, and they deserve to be transferred as quickly as possible. Keepit a ‘line in the sand’ on water security

The two deeply flawed options clinging to life to secure Tamworth’s water supply are outdated and short-sighted. They must be abandoned immediately in favour of the one option that gives Tamworth what it needs without draining the life from downstream communities. Ag the victim of its own evolution

Perusing a weekend newspaper recently (lap of luxury, I know!), this Topical columnist was reading a feature story about leaders in the Australian agricultural sector. Within the story, a bonafide banana farmer on the NSW north coast had some pertinent commentary about the state of agricultural affairs in this country. Project milestones for Gunnedah | Mayor’s message

The $27.4 million Gunnedah Regional Saleyards Redevelopment officially opened on June 17, with an impressive yarding of 3,000 cattle on the day. Minister for Agriculture and Regional NSW Tara Moriarty officially opened the impressive upgrade to the facility that was funded by $23,708,927 from the NSW Government with Gunnedah Shire Council contributing $3,750,833.
