Gunnedah Shire Council is calling on the Minister for Health to review the performance of Hunter New England Local Health District services. Gunnedah Can Assist has received a $5000 donation from Club Gunnedah. Charity volunteer Linda Lee said the money from the club will go toward advertising at The Civic. “It’s just amazing … because we are not using any funds [for advertising] that we’ve fundraised to help our local people,” Linda said. She said the cinema’s advertisement has been a big help in getting the word out about the cancer focused charity.
