Gunnedah Physical Culture Club performs at New England Zone

Gunnedah Physical Culture Club members competed at the annual New England Zone competition held in Tamworth on October 15 and 16.

The club was represented by 36 girls and women who all represented Gunnedah exceptionally well.

Gunnedah Physical Culture Club publicity officer Sarah Cull said everyone danced beautifully and represented the club with pride.

“Zone competitions host physical culture clubs from various districts and dancers who place at these events qualify for nationals in Sydney,” Sarah said.

“A special mention and congratulations go to Annabelle Sims, Lola-Kate Vesey, Bobbie Crane, Darcie Crane and Stacie Crance who all qualified for nationals.

“Gunnedah Physie Club wishes you all the best of luck and will be cheering you all on.”

In the teams events Gunnedah finished third in the 5-6 years and 7-8 years divisions.

Results: Champion girl five years: Frankie Crane, finalist, Polly Cull, finalist, Lottie Torrens, finalist, Josie McDonald, semi-finalist.

Champion girl six years: Annabelle Sims, fourth place, Lola-Kate Vesey, fifth place, Emmie Swain,
finalist, Grace Tailby, finalist and Heidi Barnes, finalist.

Champion girl seven years: Bobbie Crane, fifth place, Kayla Weilbach, finalist, Charlotte Davis, semi-finalist, Emma Mackay, semi finalist and Imogen Whitby, semi-finalist.

Champion girl eight years: London Jolliffe, danced beautifully, Lucy Byrnes, danced beautifully.

Champion girl nine years: Darcie Crane, second place, Giselle Foran semi-finalist, Ava Mizzi, semi-finalist.

Champion girl 10 years: Claire Moore, semi-finalist, Summer Jolliffe, semi-finalist.

Champion girl 11 years: Imagen Jolliffe, finalist, Mia Mizzi, semi-finalist.

Champion girl 13 years: Mia Swain, semi-finalist.

Champion girl 15 years: Alyssa Frey, semi-finalist.

Novice/beginner lady: Courtney McDonald, finalist, Natasha Duffy, finalist, Louise Sloey, finalist, Dinkie Weilbach, finalist, Josie Wilson, semi-finalist, Sarah Trindall, semi-finalist, Tymika Tailby, semi-finalist.

Intermediate lady: Stacie Crane, fourth place.
