The greens at Gunnedah golf course were dotted with ardent players and golf buggies last Saturday as the club’s fourball championships were played out for 2022.

Luke Streater and Troy Dries carded 68 points to grab first place this year from Luke Sevil and Jordan Randle on 71 points.

The nett winners were Michael Sutcliffe and Adam Rees (50), ahead of Guy Gallen and Rick Sampson (49), with Callum Sharman and Jamie McDonald (45) in third place.

Nearest the pins: John Henry, Pat Minahan and Jono Young (2nd hole), hole Ryan Siriat (7th), John Henry (12th), Jono Young (18th). Balls were also won by John Stanley, Bruce Higham, Chris Edmunds, Tony Clift, Ian McArthur, Mark Humphries, Brian Bunce, Bill Weakley, Kel Worboys, Paul Smallpiece, Russell Easey, Gary O’Gorman, Kevin Sheridan, Frank Cox, Mike Ravenswood, Graham Sutcliffe, Phil Brooks, Kev Gallagher, Steve Johnston, Stuart Judd, Steve Berry, Mark Douglas, Gary Streater, Jason Carlin, Rod Wettenhall, John Millerd and Ken Renton.

Mid-week golf fourball winners were Nic Adams and Bon Winsor (54), with Dave Grosser and Jack Kent (53) in second place followed by Russell Easey and Greg Burns (52) on a countback.

The singles winner was Russell Easey (31) on a countback, ahead of Bon Winsor (31) and Jack Kent (28) on a countback.
