For 50 years, AgQuip has been held in Gunnedah and council is proud to sponsor the event in its milestone golden anniversary this year.

Since its inception half a century ago, AgQuip has become recognised as one of the biggest industry field days in the world.

AgQuip 2023 will be held from Tuesday, August 22 to Thursday, August 24. Held at a permanent, purpose-built site 8km west of Gunnedah in the heartland of agricultural Australia, AgQuip attracts more than 100,000 visitors over three days and is one of the most anticipated rural trade shows on the national calendar.

“AgQuip is now widely recognised as one of the biggest industry field days in the world and the hard working team behind this event should all be congratulated for their efforts to develop it into the major success story that it has become,” said mayor Jamie Chaffey.

“Gunnedah Shire Council is extremely proud to be a gold sponsor of AgQuip in its milestone 50th year and delighted to play an ongoing role with the event that has contributed enormously to our local economy and the profile of our region.”

This year, council will host a trade stand promoting its various services and activities with information pamphlets, tourism brochures, pens and notepads to give away. Councillors and mayor Jamie Chaffey will also be on hand to meet the community.

“We encourage people to come to our stand and meet some of our staff and councillors and welcome visitors to come and see us to discover what to see and do while they are in Gunnedah for AgQuip,” Cr Chaffey said.

The Gunnedah Shire Council stand is located at site number AA-BB/09, which is in the Education Pavillion.
