The Moree CBD was transformed into a spectacular light show for the inaugural Light’n Up Moree festival.
Balo and Heber Streets were beautifully decorated with vibrant and colourful light installations from lanterns, roving street entertainers, participating shop fronts and the final pièce de résistance, the animated pop art style projection by illuminart on the Moree Memorial Hall.
The event transformed the CBD into a visual spectacle where the community came together to enjoy and be entertained by the various activities from art, music, games, car show and a silent disco.
While the event provided a space for local artists and performers to showcase their talents it provided a luminated space to indulge in local cuisine in alfresco dining.
This successful free community event was made possible by the hard work of many.
The success of the event has been credited to the team at Bank Art Museum Moree – BAMM, for producing this exceptional visual spectacle.
This event was supported and enabled by the NSW government’s Reconnecting Regional NSW Community Events Program.
The Light’n Up Moree Festival was managed by the team at BAMM with the support of Moree Plains Shire Council, Tourism Moree, and Moree Chamber of Commerce.
