Gunnedah has celebrated its long-established Country Woman’s Association by adding plaques to two chairs on Conadilly Street.

The CWA celebrated 100 years in Australia last year, with Gunnedah’s branch established since the beginning.

Gunnedah was the 11th branch to open in Australia and is still committed to the values the association holds.

It had requested the plaques from the Gunnedah Shire Council with agreement two chairs would be suitable. The CWA thanked the council for allowing the milestone to be showcased.
