With roses blooming all around town, the Gunnedah Show Ladies Auxiliary is looking for another colourful display at this year’s Spring Rose Show.
The popular event will be held at the Smithurst Theatre on Friday, October 20, from 9am to 5pm and 9am to 1pm on the Saturday, with a gold coin donation for entry to the show.
The prize for champion rose features many local stores showing their support with vouchers or gifts for first prizes.
The Gunnedah Show Ladies Auxiliary has expressed appreciation to all business houses for their support.
It doesn’t matter if a rose is white, yellow or bi-colour, there is a section for each along with mauve, pink, red, orange or a colour not mentioned. There is also a section for the exquisite Peace Rose, Double Delight, Floribunda and miniatures.
Gardeners who have an abundance of roses are invited to enter a vase of six blooms of different colours.
