Australian country music sensation, Katrina Burgoyne, a four-time CMAA Golden Guitar Nominee, is set to ignite Gunnedah Town Hall on Saturday, January 6, 2024, in a high-energy homecoming show that promises to be a country music celebration with a touch of Nashville flair.

Katrina’s musical journey began amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Australian outback at the age of 9.

Setting a personal goal to learn the guitar and sing around the campfire, her roots deeply embedded in the rich tapestry of country music, she first hit the stage at age 11 in Gunnedah.

As a professional musician for over 17 years, Katrina’s journey led her halfway around the world.

Her debut album in 2011 earned her 2 Golden Guitar nominations, 3 Top 10 Australian Country singles, and a Top 10 ARIA charting album. In 2017, with 3 suitcases and a guitar, she made the transformative move to Nashville, USA, where the influence of American country music was seamlessly woven into her artistry.

Adding to the excitement, Katrina recently announced an opportunity for local artists to join her on stage as the opening act for the Gunnedah Town Hall show.

The auditions, which closed last Sunday invited Gunnedah’s vibrant music community to showcase their talent.

At this stage, Katrina has 3 outstanding artists in mind for this coveted spot.

Stay tuned on her social media channels for updates.

Special thanks to sponsors making the Australian tour possible, including Gunnedah Toyota, providing Katrina with a beautiful Toyota Hilux Ute. Keep an eye out as she drives around town in style!

Additionally, the Gunnedah Conservatorium is proud to partner with Katrina for the Gunnedah show, contributing to the musical richness of this special evening.
