Gunnedah’s best music talent has been wowing audiences at the Tamworth Country Music Festival this week.

Among them was Sam Snape who offered a “big thanks” to fans who turned out for a gig in Tamworth.

“Had an absolute ball … cheers to the crowd. You guys were awesome. We had that place jumping,” he wrote post-event.

Snape is due to appear back in the Gunnedah shire for the Australia Day weekend when he plays at Mullaley, Curlewis and Gunnedah.

Also playing at the festival was Gunnedah’s Dan Murphy who was due to appear at Tamworth for a series of gigs in the coming weeks.

“We’ve done up our set lists and I must say, it’s gonna be as much fun as you can have with your clothes on,” he wrote.

“Bring your good times vibes and your two-stepping dance moves!”

Nashville’s Gunnedah star Katrina Burgoyne, fresh off her appearance in Gunnedah, was due to play her “last show of the Aussie tour” on Wednesday in Tamworth.

The Capitol Theatre gig also featured well-known artists such as Tania Kernaghan and Aleyce Simmonds, among other others.

The music festival runs until January 28 in Tamworth.
