Gunnedah swimmers showed great form at Charlestown at the NSW Country Regionals.

Eleven-year-old Jorja Burden blitzed her personal bests by shaving off time in six races. She placed ninth in the 100m butterfly after dropping 12.66 seconds and showed major gains in the 100m freestyle. Brother Lukas (9) shaved time off his 50m butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke while Kaylee Allen (11) clocked personal best times in the 50m breaststroke and backstroke.

Zach Akinyemi (14) had a jam-packed program of 11 races and won bronze in the 400m freestyle. He also dropped time in his 50m breaststroke. Sister Hannah (11) just missed the medals in the 50m butterfly and breaststroke by touching the wall fifth. She took 0.38 seconds off her 50m freestyle and nailed a personal best in the 100m breaststroke.

Meanwhile, Cameron Sills (10) competed at the Gold Coast Sprint Championships. In a tough field of competition he placed sixth in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly, 7th in the 50m freestyle and 14th in the 50m backstroke.
