Boxing fans eagerly await Saturday, as Gunnedah’s Enja Ryan will go up against one of India’s best boxers in Tamworth.
The Clash of the Titans, Country Versus the Rest of the World, will have Ryan defend her title as the WBC Australasian holder.
She received the title after defeating Kate McLaren in Dubbo during a bout in December last year.
Saturday will see Ryan’s first professional bout of the year after a great 2023.
She was undefeated and finished the year as number one Australia-wide in the welterweight division.
Ryan, gave a good show at the same event last year, winning against Thailand’s Noppaket Srisawas with a technical knockout.
This will be Archana Sharma’s (Ryan’s opponent) first time fighting on Australian soil.
While Sharma has had a relatively short career, having her first professional bout in 2023, she has remained undefeated.
