Gunnedah Shire Council has been replacing the bitumen surface on the pathway in the Stock Road centre islands between Links Road and Winder Place.
The bitumen was past its useful life and tree roots had broken the surface. Two sections of this project are now complete with the third delayed by rain.
The last section will be completed in the next few weeks, weather permitting. Regular walkers have been high in their praise of the completed project.
